Beejive has released a new beta of their all-in-one IM client. Beta 1.9.7 is geared toward OS 5.0 users, and has a bunch of updated features. Beejive was kind of shaky on some 5.0 builds, so the new beta hopes to get closer to a fully working version. Features include:

Love the interface...so much cleaner and nicer than IM+. However, I am unable to login to FaceBook IM with Beta. Continuously receiving Incorrect logon id or password error. Both are correct.
I went online to www.beejive.com/facebook to enter additional information as requested and even restarted my phone (9530).
Anyone else having the same issue? I am using the beta for Storm OS 5.0

Facebook chat is working correctly for me. That is strange that you all are having problems. I would imagine you all have reset your phones so I won't ask that but did Facebook Chat work for you on the previous version of Beejive you had? What device are you using and what OS are you running??
I am currently using the BeeJive beta version 1.9.7 for Storm 5.0. I am using the 30 day free trial...do not want to purchase unless FB works correctly.

i just logged into facebook on beejive.. works fine.. try uninstalling and reinstalling..
I bought the full transfer version Beejive on my last storm. I received my new Storm with a new pin code. how can I get my register key???????
STILL resets your beejive sound profiles upon restarting the program...
i think the having to reset your sounds upin restart is a os 5.0 issue, because i had beejive 1.9.6 on my old 4.7 os and it didnt do this.. and i thought it was me and i was going crazy

Sure does, I'm logged on Facebook, Google and AIM right now on my Tour and I am running 5.0.0.230...
As far as not being able to load Facebook chat, the only thing I can think of is did you make sure to download the Storm 5.0 version and not the regular 5.0 version??
Yup...I downloaded beta 5.0 for the storm. I have tried playing with the connection settings as well. I am unable to log into FB IM. All other chat services work great (Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL)....
I will try to check some more forums on the BeeJive site.

if our original trial is up we cannot test out this version? this is bullsh*t! looks like i won't be buying this.
AWESOME! I've been rejected by Beejive earlier today for their current official software release since it does not support the new Bold 9700. I was dejected, and had to resort to using the AIM client for a good hour or so before I found this article. Thanks for saving my "life"! ;)
it looks like facebook IM works for everything except the storm.... what the hell?
facebook IM is the only reason i would download this.
I have a Storm2 running 5.0.0.320 and downloaded and tried and it didn't work. Rebooted phone and it still didn't work. I deleted as that would be the only reason I would have this app.
let see if this will run on my storm

i dont know why anybody would buy this, im willing to bet that facebook IM will be available for free with FB 2.0 when it comes out anyway.
It's neat...but I don't think it's worth $19.95...or $29.95 so you can transfer it to another device later...
Same problem with fb I'm on my 8520.
does anyone notice that when you're on your home screen there isn't any sort of notification on the beejive logo to let you know you have a new message.. mine has a red *... version 1.9.7 doesn't do this.. also, it doesn't correct text.. in other versions if you were trying to just write the word can't and that's all, it would show up cant but when you hit enter to send it would s how up can't.. i haven't seen that with this version..
Works for me fine. I noticed some themes will cause this to happen. Change themes and try again. It's a problem with the icon refresh.
does anyone notice, that the buddy pounce "freezes" your phone, until you open beejive and dismiss the pounce???
does this cause big time memory leak for anyone else? I lost 10 mb in 2 hours. That hasn't happened to me in a long time.
I have a user license and transferred it over to my new Bold 9700 from my Curve. It works fine, not getting the issues that people have been talking about. Only complaint is that receiving IMs from MSN is delayed.
go to www.beejive.com/facebook do wut it says, then shutdown ur beejive and start it back up. then log in and it should work. worked for me
It seems that WiFi support is buggy at most. Run this application in "prefer WiFi" mode and it will App Error 523 all over the place and crash your device. Keep it on NONE for WiFi. Features are great, Facebook chat works well, and the idle away/holstered option is useful...I hope to see support for user-customizable chat backgrounds and perhaps an easier way to pick files for transferring...perhaps the default system file browser? Otherwise I have not had any problems running this on my Storm2. No battery drainage, no memory leaks (I actually lost 2MB at program startup and my lost memory dropped back down to 1.3, so there's no leaks at all).
Working on on my Storm 5.0.0.230. I have noticed a few bugs in the software, but thats to be expected with a Beta version of any software.
Anyone know of a place I can report these bugs at?
Trying it. No go on the Facebook IM. It keeps telling me I have a wrong user name / password combo even after re trying it several time with the right name and PW.
i am running OS 5.0.0.238 On A BOLD 9000 , and at the beejive startup i receive the error message "class net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessException.null" and on the beejive forum they said to do a full security wipe .. that didn't seem to work for me. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks in advance

I am running a Storm on 5.0.0.328 and I did what Beejive said to do in order to get Facebook going. I logged in with no issues, but now I can't see any of my contacts for Facebook or Myspace. Anybody suggestions on what to do? Thanks people
Ok...
I am now able to use FB IM using BeeJive Beta 1.9.7 for Storm OS 5.0. I had a premium theme (Phosphoresce) installed which recently released an update. I set my theme back to the default theme (Precision Zen), updated the premium theme, and set my theme to the updated premium theme. FaceBook IM is now working nicely (using the 30 day trial). BeeJive is hands down, much much better than IM+. IM+ sucks compared to BeeJive...can't keep a FB connection using IM+.

I just got my 9700 today and I would love to trick it out .. however if it's just going to buggy and not work and is still in beta I donno...
